Feeling Cheery

Today the kids spent a long morning with me scoping out new session locations.  Jack has now seen Toy Story over 100 times and has mastered the backseat high pitched scream to alert me that the DVD has ended.  Samantha was a breeze.  She napped from the time we left until we pulled back up into the driveway (phew!).

Needless to say, they were hungry.  Ha!  What a build up!  :)

In other news: I am testing out some new treatment ideas I've had for my color work.  I think I might keep things a little cheerier around the blog for a while.  ;)

This was taken after an extraordinary battle between dog and boy, where dog triumphed, but boy ended up with all the glory.

Saying Goodbye to Summer

We joined our good friends this weekend in Leo Carrillo and said goodbye to this incredible stretch of perfect beach weather.  As the first of many overnight RV camping trips, it was amazing to see kids doing what they're supposed to be doing: playing, exploring, and all the while feeling perfectly content with how disheveled they've become.

So here's to summer.  We'll say goodbye 'til next year, but welcome any California season with open arms.  :)
